Margrete Vanschoelant
Margrete Vanschoelant, born in Leuven (Belgium), studied at the Art Academy of Brussels, Leuven and Hasselt. Later on she moved to the Netherlands where she was apprenticed to the Dutch painter Rousseau. Gradually she developed a personal style.
After moving to Italy in 1990, she soon exhibited in Bologna, Fermo, Roma and the region of Piceno, inspired by the Mediterranean climate.
She spent 10 years in Rome where she turned her skills into perfection, specialising in painting classy full nudes. Later on she moved to the south of Italy for five years. As of early 2014 she resides in Barcelona where she continues her passion in her studio.
